GALLERIES OF MY WORK
When I reflect back on the work that I have produced over the last 25 years, I see a common thread throughout, a search for a sense of identity, belonging and connection. Naturally I make pictures of what interests me and what relates to my being, and perspectives on life. I am interested in work that encourages an emotional response, rather than conceptual ideas. Form and the aesthetic are important, allowing for harmony and balance, beauty and feeling.
I have always been interested in the craft of printmaking, and have always produced my own prints, whether silver gelatin darkroom prints, digital inkjet prints or, most recently, hand-crafted photogravure (photo-etching) prints. The physical aspect of working with various materials and processes contribute significantly to the presentation of my work.
